ARSON ONG
Born in 1990, Arson Ong graduated from Dasein Academy of Art in 2012. He is always passionate about multi-disciplinary approaches to art-making. Apart from doing painting, installation and drawing, Arson also dabbles in performing arts. Arson has been active in the Malaysian art scene since 2007, the year when he performed in “Drumslices2” at Genting International Showroom. He has exhibited his works in several exhibitions, the most recent one being “Piece of Me”, a charity show for Haiyan victims held at White Box, Publika. Arson held his rst solo exhibition in 2014, called “Our World”, at Lostgens’ Contemporary Art Space.

SABIHIS MD PANDI
Received his Bachelor in Fine Arts in 2011 from Universiti Teknologi Mara, Shah Alam. Since acquiring his Diploma in 2009, he has joined numerous exhibitions, including the “Young and New” exhibition at HOM Art Trans and China House. A woodcut print practitioner by nature, Sabihis is one of the winners of the Malaysian Emerging Artist Award hosted by Galeri Chandan and HOM Art Trans. The most recent recognition Sabihis received is the 2014 UOB Painting of the Year Bronze Award in the Established Artist Category.

ZUL HUSNI MD DUAN
A graduate of Universiti Teknologi Mara, Zul Husni contributed much of his energy and time as Scenic Artist in various Malaysian lm productions, such as “Vikingdom the Movie” (produced by KRU) and “Hanyut” (directed by U-Wei HjSaari). Since 2007, Zul has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including “Print-Print” at Kebun Mimpi Gallery and “Mekar Citra Art Exhibition” at Galeri Shah Alam. Currently working with a lm production company, Zul Husni proved his remarkable talent in this eld when he and his studio mate, Studio Tikus won the 1st Runner-up Award and the Best Script Award in the KL 48 Hour: Short Film Competition. He also received the Consolation Award in the “Malaysiaku Gemilang” Drawing for Public Sculpture competition organised by KEKKWA, Kuala Lumpur.

SAMSUDIN WAHAB
Majoring in printmaking, Samsudin Wahab is a Fine Arts Bachelor graduate from Universiti Teknologi Mara. He has been active in the local art scene since 2005. Among other group exhibitions he has participated in locally included those organised by Pelita Hati, HOM Art Trans and Taksu Gallery. His works have also been exhibited in Korea, Taiwan and Singapore. In 2008, Samsudin held two highly acclaimed solo exhibitions, namely, “Enough!” at Taksu Gallery, and “Not Enough!” at Chandan Gallery. Apart from participating in group exhibitions, he also has taken part in various art competitions, such as the Tanjong Heritage 2005 Art Competition and Pack Max Art Award. He was the winner of the 2009 Malaysian Emerging Artist Award and the 2013 Young Guns Award. Samsudin is currently spending more time in his village in Perak under the supervision of artist-curator Wong Hoy Cheong as part of his research as the recipient of the Fergana Art Fellowship.

FAIZAL SUHIF
Although Faizal Suhif only completed his Masters in Fine Arts in 2013, he has managed to build his name in the Malaysian art sphere with an extensive list of exhibitions and awards. Born in 1984 in Johor, Faizal started venturing into art in 2002. His works have been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions. His rst solo show was held in 2002 in Johor, and the most recent one, titled “Stories from the Soil”, was held in 2014 at G13 Gallery, Kelana Jaya. Internationally, he has presented his works in a series of solo exhibitions in Macedonia and Indonesia. Aside from making art, Faizal is also active as a facilitator for various printmaking workshops all around Malaysia. Faizal works in his studio, Dusun Seni Studio, in Hulu Langat, Selangor.

HAZUL BAKAR
Johor-born Hazul Bakar received his Diploma in Fine Arts, with a major in Printmaking, from Aswara, Kuala Lumpur. A practitioner of silkscreen printing, his works largely deal with issues related to local popular cultures. This 25-year old artist has joined various group exhibitions, such as “Artseni” at Galeri Artseni in 2011, and “Pameran Rasa Alam” at Galeri Seni Dectar in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and “M50: Shades of Malaysia” at Artemis Gallery in 2013. His latest group exhibition, titled “Begin”, was also held at the latter. Hazul’s works have also been presented at a number of international art shows. Among them were “Florence Is Onschuldig” in Belgium, and “Airmail 100”, an exhibition organised in conjunction with the 100-year celebration of Airmail service in the United States of America.
