Kelopak Rasa Bayu Utomo Radjikin
Inspired by the picture that Van Gogh was most proud of, the Sunflower series has transpired Bayu Utomo Radjikin to produce his latest body of works. The spirit of the world’s renowned art is inculcated in the form of what seems to be a bouquet of flowers, but instead it is wild and in strong colours of black, red and white.
Kelopak Rasa Series carries the spirit of survival instinct in the wilderness. Bayu is enchanted by the wild beauty that blooms without the added help of care and love. He highlighted the organic beauty that is often ignored and put it as a centre piece; proudly. He showed off the strength in a nonconformist but yet, in a graceful way.
His work is making a bold statement visually and conceptually. The idea of depending on natural survival instinct, and of course by Grace of God, to keep on living, blossoming strong; against all odds.
This unconventional, mysterious elegance will touch the heart of the rebels and those who have been battling their fights in life, on their own.
